Bad Credit Rating Mobile Phones
Written by Rick Vincent on August 27th, 2008If you have a poor credit rating obtaining a mobile phone can be difficult. The major mobile phone networks in the UK will not allow you an agreement.
Here is how you can obtain a mobile phone with a poor credit rating and still have a good handset and a good mobile tariff.
Most people with bad credit will actually end up buying a pay as you go mobile phone and end up paying higher call costs, on top fo having to purchase the phone to get going.
With these deals the networks have to make their money back somehow and this is done through the cost of the calls. Don’t be conned by deals that offer more expensive call rates for the first few minutes each day, this can really add up.
Instead it is usually more beneficial to look to a supplier that will still sell you a phone on a contract. The main one being The Utility Warehouse. They are happy to take on customers as long as you pay your bills.
The Utility Warehouse will let you have a phone as long as you prove your address and you pay 10 in advance. You can also take some of the other services they take if you want to cover the cost of your bill.
The only minor disadvantages are a 1.76 per month membership fee, having to pay by direct debit and not having as bg a choice of mobile phones as a high street store.
So in summary, if you need a mobile phone and have bad credit then The Utility Warehouse is your best option.
